About Cork South West Association for Autism

Cork South West Association for Autism was set up by parents of children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder to provide a non-clinical, home away from home environment for autistic adults. The aim is to provide a stress free surrounding where we can fill our client’s days in a meaningful way with individualised activity programs to meet their specific needs. Cookery, woodwork, art, horticulture, pottery, literacy, mathematical and life skills training are just some of the activities we hope to include.

We are hoping to build a day centre and in the future build individual residential facilities and provide home and outreach supports. Through this service we aim to enable these adults with autism to live independently with the assistance of care workers.

Cork South West Association for Autism is collaborating with Cork Association for Autism (CAA) and Co. Action. The CAA, have over 30 years’ experience, providing services for adults with autism (www.corkassociationforautism.com/). Co. Action, have over 40 years’ experience providing services for adults and children with intellectual disabilities, including a well experienced multidisciplinary team of; psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech and language therapists (www.coaction.ie/).
